Impact.

Rocky had the honor and privilege to be mentored in high school by the late, great Michelle Reynolds, CEO of Every Kid Outreach (EKO). Michelle opened up her heart to Rocky as she consistently poured into her with knowledge, love, and most importantly a safe haven in EKO. EKO is a nonprofit organization with a mission to equip students in under-served communities to excel academically, be physically, spiritually and emotionally healthy, to be of good character and to have the tools needed to become successful and productive citizens. One of EKO’s notable programs, 5th quarter, allows students to come play basketball every Friday night while also being fed a small snack. Going to 5th quarter was something Rocky looked forward to. She knew it would be a place to simply get away. It was a place away from home that, quite frankly, felt more like home. She always knew she wanted to give back or create a safe haven because that was exactly what was done for her. Although Michelle isn’t with us any longer, Rocky is hopeful to, someday, be a “Michelle” to many lives around the word.
